| My first few tips: -
1. Never clean a car in direct sunlight as it causes streaks down the car and some products react badly with hot sunshine 2. Always wash down your car prior to adding any car shampoo 3. Take care when cleaning your car with a soft sponge, make sure you keep rinsing it so as not to get a stone trapped and scratch your paint 4. Make sure you rinse off all your car shampoo 5. Use a drying towel and not a leather as you can scratch your paint if a stone gets caught on the leather due to little give 6. When applying polish, do so in small areas and not in direct sunlight 7. Make sure you use a micro fibre cloth to take your polish off 8. This is the same for adding any car wax after the polish
This is a very brief car-cleaning guide and does not include any rotor buffers, clay bar, etc - but should be good enough to make most peoples car 100x better!!
2 of my favourite cheap and cheerful products
1. Turtle Wax Wet n' Black for tyres - excellent product and lasts for weeks 2. Simoniz Back To Black, great for any exterior trim or black bumpers
More to come… |

| my car cleaning tip...... which may or may not be of use to you....ive always used AUTO-GLYM polishes, and had no problem with there polishes,it is little more expensive but worth every penny...and CAN be used in the sun!..
also does anybody have problem with getting bird poo off your car ????
it simple.. pour hot water straight onto it... then use doubled over kitchen towel and pour hot water onto that and leave for a few minutes.... this should remove it.. as you know bird poo will eventually eat into your paintwork, and that can be costly to get it resprayed.!!!
hope this has helped... |

Dodo juice is very good but we did a test the other day. We have Dodo juice supernatural (£95 a tub!!) and the Victoria wax. There is no noticeable difference that we could see! The reflections were the same, colour depth the same, both beaded the same. The only difference maybe how long is lasts but time will tell. The paint we tested this on was a black BMW for your info.
The person who bought the supernatural was not happy at the result, and will be buying Victoria wax for himself next |
